What data we collect and why
Contact and enquiry data
When you fill in our contact form or send us an email, we collect your name, email address, and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with prospective and existing clients (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Website analytics
We may collect anonymised data about how visitors use our website (pages visited, time spent, referral source) in order to improve our content and user experience. Where analytics tools are used, they are configured to respect your privacy and, where required, your consent. No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Client and project data
During the course of an engagement, we may process personal data provided by client organisations (such as employee names, roles, or contact details) as part of delivering our services. In such cases we act as a data processor and process data according to a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with the client organisation.
How long we keep your data
Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months after the last contact, or for the duration of an active client relationship plus any legally required retention period. You can request deletion at any time (see Your rights below).
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Email and communication tools — we use standard business email hosted within the EU/EEA.
- Website hosting — our website is hosted on infrastructure that may be located within or outside the EU, with appropriate safeguards in place.
- Professional advisors — lawyers, accountants, or insurers where required by law or legitimate business need.
All third-party processors are required to handle your data in accordance with GDPR.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase your data (”right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict how we process your data
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@thecontexthouse.com. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Sweden, this is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
Cookies
Our website may use functional cookies necessary for the site to operate correctly. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies without your consent. If we introduce analytics cookies in the future, we will request your consent through a clear cookie notice.
